Our Story

I’m Dustin Hoagland, happily hitched to the incredible Melissa, and together, we're the dynamic duo raising two pint-sized tornadoes that go by the names of chaos and cuteness. Our life? Well, let’s just say it's a whirlwind of hockey sticks and ice skates, with our family serving as the unofficial ambassadors of the sport in every corner of the Midwest.

You see, when we're not cheering from the bleachers or lacing up our own skates, we're on a mission to tame the chaos of our "hockey-life". And thus, Hoagie’s Home Gifts was born, a sanctuary amidst the madness, inspired by none other than my Grandpa Willard, lovingly known as "Hoagie". Now, Hoagie wasn’t just your average Joe; he was a jack-of-all-trades, juggling family, farming, and even moonlighting as a railroad man. But his true passion? Crafting wonders out of wood with his own two hands.

I still remember those road trips across the heartland, the back of Grandpa's pickup stacked high with his handcrafted wood flower planters, as we embarked on a quest to spread joy and beauty one planter at a time. Those moments, filled with laughter, love, and the faint scent of freshly cut wood, are etched in my memory as some of the best times with my grandparents. And now, with Hoagie’s legacy as our guiding light, we’re on a mission to share that same magic with the world, one handcrafted treasure at a time.
